The Faces of
Russia Concert
Tour
presented by
Credo Sinfonietta – Rotila Ilie
Croitoru, Conductor –
a string ensemble from St. Petersburg,
Russia
The mission statement
of the Messiah Project, Inc. is to promote the Judeo-Christian
heritage through the visual and performing arts. Scripture tells us
to "Praise Him among the nations. Among all the peoples, praise Him"
(Psalms 96:3). This has been our foundational scripture as we have
ministered both in the
United States
and abroad.
Over the last 15
years, Messiah Project Inc. has sent teams into 23 different nations
and hosted soloist and ensembles from
Austria,
China, Germany, Poland, & Russia here in the USA. In each of these
collaborative endeavors, we have seen that the universal language of
art, communicated through dance and music, transcends the barriers of
spoken language. This is one of the principle reasons we have invited
a Credo Sinfonietta to perform here in the USA.
Credo Sinfonietta of
St. Petersburg
Russia is, in part, is an outreach of The Messiah Project. The
conductor for the ensemble is Conductor Rotila Ilie
Croitoru, and one
of the principle performers is Evgeny Zhelinskiy, is a professional
Balalaika player who has traveled all over the world playing this
historic and traditional folk instrument of Russia. Mr. Croitoru has
just been recently named one of the principle coordinators for the
music programs of the Baptist Union in North Western Russia. Credo
Sinfonietta is performing in and around St. Petersburg, and Moscow in
various churches, public and Christian festivals. Professional
Christian ensembles are somewhat unique as some of Russian Federation
experiences more freedom of expression. Credo Sinfonietta is also
working in conjunction with Crescendo, an outreach of Campus
Crusades. Please take note of the many accomplishments of these
professional musicians.
